Our Services

Pediatric Sleep

Here at Texas Lung and Sleep we specialize in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders in children. We work with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers, to address sleep problems that can impact their health and well-being. The role of a pediatric sleep physician is crucial in helping children get the rest they need for healthy growth and development.

Our physicians assess sleep patterns, investigate the cause of sleep disturbances, and develop a treatment plan tailored to each child’s needs. This may involve ordering sleep studies (at a hospital facility), evaluating breathing patterns, or conducting behavioral assessments. They also work closely with parents to educate them on how to create a sleep-friendly environment at home, and how to encourage healthy sleep habits in their child.

In some cases, our sleep physician may prescribe medication to help manage sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea or insomnia. They may also refer children to other specialists, such as an otolaryngologist or psychologist, to address underlying conditions that are contributing to the sleep disorder.

Our goal is to provide children and their families with the highest quality of care and treatment for sleep-related disorders. Our physicians are dedicated to helping children overcome sleep problems such as insomnia, sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, and narcolepsy, among others.

We work closely with families to understand the unique needs and concerns of each child, and provides personalized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient. The ultimate goal of the pediatric sleep physician is to help children get a good night’s sleep, improve their quality of life, and promote overall health and wellness.

Pediatric Pulmonology

Our physicians focus on the diagnosis, treatment and care of respiratory problems in children. They have extensive training in treating the unique respiratory needs of children, from premature infants to teenagers. They are knowledgeable in the latest treatments and technologies that can improve the quality of life for children with respiratory issues.

Our physicians work with a team of healthcare professionals to develop customized treatment plans for each child. They take into consideration a child’s age, size, overall health and specific respiratory needs. They evaluate and diagnose a range of conditions, including asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, sleep apnea, and cystic fibrosis.

In addition to traditional treatments like medication, oxygen therapy, and respiratory rehabilitation, we may also recommend cutting-edge techniques, such as minimally invasive surgery, to improve a child’s breathing and overall health. They also educate families about how to manage and monitor their child’s respiratory health and provide ongoing support and care.

If you have a child with breathing problems, it is important to find a pediatric pulmonologist who can provide expert care and support. Contact us today to learn more about our team of pediatric pulmonologists and how they can help your child breathe easier.
